1. Introduction

a. Welcome to Fencehub.com, your trusted source for the most up-to-date information on fences and fence building on the Web.  Fencehub.com, and any related software, web applications and mobile applications (collectively, the “Site,”) are owned and operated by Fence Hub LLC (also, “we,” “us,” “our,”), a Washington state limited liability company headquartered in Seattle, Washington in the United States.  This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) is here to help you understand what information Fence Hub collects from you, how we collect, use, and share such information, and what options you have regarding such information.  Any terms not defined in this Privacy Policy have the same definitions set forth in the Terms of Service, which are incorporated into this Privacy Policy by reference.

b. We may, from time to time, update this Privacy Policy in order to ensure it reflects our most recent changes and developments.  The date of the last revision will be noted above the Privacy Policy.  Your continued use of the Site after such date will indicate your acceptance of the applicable revisions.  When such changes could materially affect your rights, we will endeavor to notify you by email.

2. Collection of Information

a. We collect information you provide to us about yourself when you use the Site.  Such information may include (but is not limited to) your and/or your company’s name, address, telephone number, email address, requirements for a fence, and payment details related to a specific transaction, including credit card and billing information.  You may provide this information when you request to be put in touch with a Service Professional.  If you are a Service Professional, you may provide information such as (but not limited to) your pricing data, your company’s geographical boundaries, and your employees’ names and qualifications.  Such information may be provided when you create an account with Fence Hub.  

b. Some information you post to the Site, such as (but not limited to) photos or reviews, or a company’s identifying information in the case of a Service Professional, may be used for public display and consumption.  By posting such information to the Site, you authorize Fence Hub to display this material publicly.

c. When you create an account or profile with the Site or request to be put in touch with a Service Professional, you are opting in to receive occasional emails from us or about us.  You may be able to opt out of certain communications, but please note that you may be unable to opt out of receiving certain legal or administrative communications.  By signing up with Fence Hub, you agree to be contacted by third parties, including Service Professionals or other vendors, regarding your service requests or your interest in information relating to fencing.  Any communications you conduct with such third parties via the Site may be collected by us and used in a manner as set forth in this Privacy Policy.  

d. If you purchase or sell products or services, or otherwise enter into a transaction with us or with a third party via the Site, we will collect certain information from you regarding your payment information, pricing, and your credit card information.  In the case of a third party transaction, we will pass along to such third party the payment information necessary to process and complete the transaction.  Use of such information for other purposes is strictly forbidden.  We use commercially reasonable methods of encrypting and securing your personal and financial information.  However, because no method of encryption on the Internet is completely secure, we cannot guarantee the protection of any information you provide to us.

e. We collect and store information about your use of the Site, including (but not limited to) page views, viewing times, searches, as well as your browser type, device type, IP address, referring and requested web pages, visited web pages, and cookies.

f. You may be able to connect your Fence Hub profile to other social network profiles and, if you so choose, we may collect certain information from your other social network profiles as a part of that connection process.  In such an instance, you will be given a choice as to what information you wish to share among the profiles.  

3. Use and Sharing of your Information

a. In general, and aside from the uses of information listed below, we will not sell, rent or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

b. Although the following list is meant to be an example of possible uses, and is not comprehensive, information you provide to or via the Site, and information that we collect from you, may be used in the following ways:

i. To provide the services of the Site to you, and to personalize such services for your use;

ii. To connect you with other users of the Site, including with Service Professionals or with potential consumers, as the case may be, and to maximize the usefulness and value of such connections;

iii. To protect you, other users, and ourselves from abuse and fraud;

iv. To process transactions;

v. To develop, provide and analyze advertising or promotions;

vi. To develop, provide and analyze our services and Site;

vii. To communicate with you, via phone, mail, text, mail, or other Internet mechanisms, regarding services and products that may be of interest to you.

c. In the event we are merged with or acquired by another company or entity or if we sell all or substantially all of our assets to another company or entity, we may transfer the information you have provided and that we have collected about you to such other company or entity.

d. In the event of an investigation or legal challenge in which we are compelled to divulge certain information, or if we reasonably believe that sharing certain information is appropriate to comply with applicable laws or to avoid liability, we may share the information we collect with third parties to the extent necessary to achieve such compliance.

4. Cookies

a. Cookies are small data files shared among web browsers and web servers to help websites identify unique users.  We, and some of our third-party affiliates, including Service Professionals with our express permission, may use cookies, web beacons, flash cookies, and other similar technologies (collectively, “Cookies”) in connection with your use of the Site and third party websites.   You may, at any time, adjust your browser settings to limit, refuse, or erase cookies.  Doing so may affect the usability of portions of the Site.

b. We may use Cookies to track or transmit some identifying information about you such as search preferences, your interaction with advertisements on the Site, and other use patterns or characteristics.  

c. We may use Cookies to enhance the features of the Site, to provide security and authentication for your transactions within the Site, to provide useful advertising, to store your preferences, and to generally improve your interaction with the Site.  

5. Other Provisions

a. The Site may contain links to and from other sites around the Internet over which we have no control, and we cannot be responsible for the privacy policies of such sites.  This Privacy Policy only applies to information collected by this Site.

b. This Site is not directed toward children, and we do not knowingly collect, store, or share any information provided by children under the age of 13.  If we become aware that we have collected any information from children under 13, we will take steps necessary to delete such information and terminate any associated accounts as soon as practicable.  If you become aware that we have collected any information from children under 13, please notify us at info@fencehub.com so we can take the necessary steps.

c. You may terminate your account at any time by notifying us at info@fencehub.com.  Subsequent to termination, any profile you may have will be deactivated, and you will no longer provide information to us.  We may retain and use information previously collected from you, and information publicly posted or shared prior to your termination may remain public, as permitted by applicable law.
